Have you decided that you'll be proposing to your sweetheart in the near future? If so, you must be very excited. Have you already received her father's permission? Maybe he already gave it just with his actions of approval. Whatever the scenario, do you have a plan on how you'll propose?

If you don't have a plan already, from clever ideas on how to ask the big question to buying wedding rings, here are some ideas that might help you:

Start With The Rings

Do you already know what kind of ring your sweetheart wants? What about your ring? Do you know already the type of ring you'd like to wear for the rest of your life? Your selection, of course, depends at least partly on how much money you can spend.

Will your sweetheart like a traditional diamond engagement ring and a wedding band that complements it? If you have plenty of money to spend, you can obviously select a very large diamond. However, if you are on a limited budget, you can still give your bride-to-be very special rings. For instance, select an engagement ring that features a small diamond in the center of the ring and then tiny birthstones surrounding the diamond.

Have you considered buying designer tungsten wedding rings for both of you? If you've seen them, you already know how beautiful they are. In addition, tungsten is such a strong material that your rings will more than likely never be damaged. If you will be buying designer tungsten wedding rings for both of you, think of selecting blue opal or two-toned meteorite rings. If your fiancé will be wearing a diamond ring, then you might be happier with a tungsten ring that looks like polished silver. You could also select a black tungsten ring if you want something very unique.

The Proposal

Imagine your fiancé and yourself in a group where everybody is telling stories about how they got engaged. You'll want your story to be a unique one, right? For example, think of taking your fiancé to a park very late at night. Have a candlelight picnic all set up by somebody like your mother, your sister, or a good friend. Then, at the right time, pop the question.

Or, go on a Ferris wheel at your local theme park. While you are at what seems like the top of the world, pull out the engagement ring and propose to her at that time. Just choose somewhere that is out of the ordinary. Even though she probably knows you'll be proposing marriage, you'll still take her by surprise.
